Submit all required forms and complete initial screenings:




  • Caregiver Application Form + Proof of Citizenship or Legal Residency

  • Marriage, Divorce, or Death Certificate (if applicable)

  • Pet Vaccination Records (if applicable)

  • Housing Proof: Mortgage/Lease + Homeowner or Renter Insurance

  • Driver's License, Vehicle Registration & Insurance + Utility Bill

  • Proof of Income (Employment/Benefits) + 3 References

Complete Training

Complete required caregiver training programs:




  • Agency Pre-Service Orientation & Crisis Management

  • Medication Administration & Bullying Prevention

  • Trauma-Informed Care & Prudent Parenting Guidelines

  • NTDC Classes (National Training & Development Curriculum)

  • Mindset & De-escalation Techniques Training

  • CPR/First Aid Certification (Infants, Children & Adults)

Home Evaluation

Participate in thorough home and family evaluations:




  • 3–4 In-Person Home Visits with Agency Representative

  • Home Safety Audit Including Environment & Accessibility

  • Interviews with Household Members & Adult Children

  • Inspection of Sleeping Arrangements for Foster Children

  • Review of Emergency Preparedness & Support Systems

  • Final Licensing Readiness Check and Documentation
